Springfield College is accepting applications for the position of Administrative Secretary for the Office of Graduate Admissions. This position is responsible for the compilation of prospective student information; updating and maintaining student files; and assisting with office backup as needed.
Duties include but are not limited to: verify and enter data information regarding applications to and inquiries about Springfield College. Update and maintain student files ensuring the readiness of the file for review. Ensure the correct information is entered. Send out follow-up letters in a timely fashion. Answer telephones. Screen calls and direct to most appropriate personnel. Answer inquiries about Springfield College programs and services as appropriate. Assist with the processing of incoming and outgoing mail. Mail program brochures upon requests received via mail, phone or electronically; and retain mailing information and enter into in-house database of mailing lists on a weekly basis. Perform other similar duties as required or as requested by supervisor.
This position requires knowledge equivalent to that gained through completion of a high school degree and a minimum of two years related experience; or the equivalent in combined education and experience. Proficient computer skills working in a Windows based environment. Effective communication and organizational skills.
