Administrative Secretary/Reception Area Coordinator
Springfield College is accepting applications for the position of Administrative Secretary/Reception Area Coordinator. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the development, implementation, and oversight of the customer services and support activities of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. This position serves as the initial contact person and is responsible for managing incoming calls and visitors into the admission office including: prospective students and their families and parents of current students; schedules interviews and campus tours; provides a full range of advisory and liaison services to customers on college admissions and related issues; responds to inquiries about Admissions policies; serves as liaison with other constituencies in the resolution of day-to-day administrative and operational issues. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
This position requires knowledge equivalent to that gained through a high school diploma; supplemented with three (3) years of related work experience. Basic keyboarding skills working in a Windows based environment. Strong knowledge of customer service principles, techniques, systems, and standards. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community; and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
