Position Title:
| Low Voltage Systems Technician

Position Description:
| Springfield College is currently accepting applications for a Low Voltage Systems Technician. This position is responsible for installation, repairing and replacing cabling; monitoring, servicing, debugging, and changes associated with data, telephony, video surveillance, access control, and security low voltage infrastructure and systems support. Excellent customer service is critical to establish and maintain effective work relationships with internal and external vendors.

Position Qualifications:
| The successful candidate will possess an Associate’s degree or equivalent certifications and knowledge experience with five years related experience in installation and support of low voltage systems and cabling; must possess a valid MA Class “D” Electrician licensure or equivalent certification acceptable to the state of MA; possess manufacturer or industry certification, or equivalent for Ethernet, coax, and fiber-optic structure termination and associated cable connections; and verifiable knowledge support integrated telephony, video surveillance, and access control systems. Must be flexible to work some non-traditional hours and holidays as required; and possess effective oral and written communication skills.
