Assistant/Associate Director of Housing and Residence Life - Operations
Springfield College is accepting applications for the position of Assistant or Associate (pending qualifications) Director of Housing and Residence Life – Operations. Under the supervision of the Director of Housing and Residence Life, this professional staff member will be a leader on the executive team for the Office of Housing and Residence Life. This position serves as the primary contact and liaison with the Department of Facilities and Campus Services; coordinates college-owned off-campus housing; serves as primary community point person with regard to students living off-campus in non-college owned housing; and will oversee housing operations. Responsibilities will include coordinates operation/housing services; key order process and distribution; plans and facilitates opening/closing of residence halls, implements room and building inspections; reviews housing furniture needs; accountable for accurate records of occupancy and revenue; proposed residence hall renovations. Other duties include the hiring and training of RDs and summer RAs and reviews housing furniture needs.
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Student Personnel or related field with 3-5 years experience with student staff supervision, strong administrative/organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and budget management. Ability to interface with individuals from diverse backgrounds is essential. Strong written and oral communication skills are necessary to effectively work with students, parents, and college staff and administrators. Computer skills are essential and housing operations experience is preferred. Resume screening will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
