Ralph Tichenor Scrapbook

Ralph Tichenor Class photo Ralph L. Tichenor, Springfield College Class of 1917, aka Tich, graduated from West High School in Rochester, NY before coming to Springfield College where he graduated in 1917. During his time at Springfield College, he played Class football, hockey, baseball, tennis, cross-country, and was the captain of the basketball team in 1915. He also played on the Varsity soccer team from 1914-1916, ran track 1915-1916, was part of the basketball squad from 1915-1916, coached the junior-class soccer team from 1915-1916, and went on to lead the senior class soccer team to be class champions in 1916. He was a baseball official in 1914, the physical director, and a member of the Ludlow athletic and recreation association from 1916-1917. He was also a member of the McKinley Literary Society, the playground supervisor in Hornell, NY in the summer of 1916, and a Sunday School teacher at Union Church in Ludlow from 1914-1916.

His scrapbook contains materials from his time at Springfield College, 1914-1917. Materials include many team and sports event photos, photos of travel sites, reception programs, dance cards, newspaper clippings, and various sports schedules and banquets. There are also Varsity Emblem Certificates 1914-1917 in soccer, track, basketball, and baseball.
