Grammy Nominee Jennifer Knapp to Perform at Springfield CollegeOctober 26, 2011
SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Oct. 26, 2011 -- Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Jennifer Knapp will perform at the Springfield College Marsh Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, at 8 p.m. Knapp’s visit to the campus, which is part of her “Inside Out Faith” tour, is sponsored by the Spiritual Life Center.
Knapp breaks boundaries as a gay folk-rock singer of faith. Her music and narratives, both of which she’ll share during her performance, are based largely on her life experiences and journey through faith as a gay woman. She will perform a compilation of music from her latest album, “Letting Go,” her new works, and past pieces from her albums “Kansas,” “Lay It Down,” and “The Way I am.” Knapp is a two-time Grammy nominee, and is the recipient of four Gospel Music Association (GMA) Dove Awards. She also has toured with the musical group Jars of Clay and has been featured on the Lilith Fair tour multiple times.
The event is open to the public free of charge.
