Concerts, Theatre, Art Exhibitions Free At SC This Fall
September 6, 2004SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Sept. 6, 2004 -- Springfield College’s fall series of visual and performing arts programs open to the public free of charge will feature a lineup of fine art exhibitions, concerts, theatre productions, fiction and poetry readings by award-winning area authors, and a dance concert by guest artists and student artists. “The Life of James Mars: A Slave Born and Sold in Connecticut”
By: Puppetsweat Theater
The compelling, inspirational, autobiographical story of one of Connecticut's African American heroes presented in a multi-media adaptation using actors, puppets, projections and animations. Puppetsweat Theatre has performed at the Jim Henson International Festival of Puppet Theatre, La Mama E.T.C., PS 122, and the HERE Arts Center.
