Chun K. Wun, Ph.D., a professor of biology at Springfield College in Springfield, Mass., served as an invited research professor at the Pasteur Institute in Paris, France, from 1997 to 2010.  He received a bachelor’s degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1964, a master’s degree from Springfield College in 1969, and a master’s degree and doctorate in 1971 and in 1974, respectively, from the University of Massachusetts. Courses he currently teaches include Bioscience, Medical Microbiology, General Microbiology, and Applied Microbiology, Virology and Immunology.

Wun was recognized as the instructor who has had the most influence on their careers by the Springfield College Physician Assistant Program Class of 2009 and was elected by the students to receive their Excellence in Teaching Award.  He is the first professor in the academic phase of the program to be honored with this award.
