Commencement 2012

On May 12, Springfield College welcomed students and their families to Naismith Green for the Graduate Commencement Ceremony. The School of Social work is proud to announce that 102 graduates received the M.S.W. degree. Pictured are Francine J.Vecchiolla, Dean of the Springfield College School of Social Work, with 2012 graduate Mary Mastalerz, who is from Chicopee, Mass. Mastalerz attended the full-time M.S.W. program, was a graduate assistant, and an officer in the Student Organization. She completed an internship at Phoenix House Academy in Springfield, Mass. and in May 2011,  traveled to Cusco, Peru through a volunteer internship program. She completed a second-year internship at Van Sickle Middle School in Springfield, to prepare for a career in school social work. The School of Social Work congratulates Mary, and all of its graduates, and wishes them well as they continue to work toward making a difference in the lives of others.
