The National YMCA Hall of Fame provides a forum to recognize YMCA professionals and volunteers who exemplify a lifetime of commitment to the mission and cause of the YMCA. It honors individuals who have devoted their lives to strengthening community through their devotion and dedication of serving people and making a positive impact on individuals and to the movement. Hall of Fame inductees have been recognized for their leadership, always encouraging and nurturing others around them to develop their true potential in spirit, mind, and body.
The sponsoring organizations of the YMCA Hall of Fame include the YMCA Retirement Fund, YMCA of the USA, Springfield College and the Association of YMCA Professionals. This overseeing body has the responsibility of preserving the prominence of the YMCA Hall of Fame at a level commensurate with the institutional legacy of the YMCA movement, fully incorporating the YMCA history by inducting past heroes, and educating today’s workforce about the contribution of significant careers to that history. Inductions will take place at the YMCA of the USA General Assembly meeting happening July, 2013.
Visit the YMCA Hall of Fame to view past inductees and their contributions to the YMCA movement.
