The Fine Art of Playing Awake’
April 20, 2007
SPRINGFIELD, Mass., April 20, 2007 – James L. Ragonnet, Ph.D., Springfield College professor of English, will read from his recently published book, “Golf’s Three Noble Truths: The Fine Art of Playing Awake,” on Tuesday, April 24, at 7:30 p.m., in Marsh Memorial Chapel, on the college campus. A book signing and question-and-answer session will follow.
Ragonnet applies the teachings of Buddha and presents the core truths of awareness, balance and unity as a prerequisite to golf success. He contends that most golfers are sleepwalking and need to “play awake” to confront unchallenged habits, eliminate mistakes, improve performance, and maximize the joy of playing golf.
With golfers’ stories and practical lessons, Ragonnet teaches how to learn effectively, look deeply, and ask penetrating questions to improve one’s game and prepare for any challenge.
