Under the direction of head coach Kathy Mangano, the Pride was tabbed as a 2006-2007 NFCA All-Academic Team. The squad posted a cumulative GPA of 3.487 last season.
As a team, Springfield had the third-high grade point average of any team in Division III. This was the highest that a Springfield softball team has ever finished in this ranking.
Julie Perrelli enters her fourth season at the helm of the Springfield College softball program and as an assistant professor of physical education. In her first three seasons in the dugout for the Pride, Perelli has guided Springfield to two NEWMAC Championship title games. Read more.
