Women's Lacrosse Defeats Keene State, 12-6
SPRINGFIELD, Mass., May 07, 2003- Springfield College sophomore
Erin Looney (West Springfield, Mass.) and freshman
Holly Carmody (Wayland, Mass.) each had three goals and an assist as the Pride rolled past Keene State, 12-6 this evening in the first round of the ECAC Division III New England Women’s Lacrosse Championship at Benedum Field.
The Pride jumped out to an 8-1 lead in the first half and held on despite being outscored 5-4 in the second half.
SC sophomore
Erin Smith (Longmeadow, Mass.) added two goals in the contest for the Pride.
Springfield advances to the semifinals to face Eastern Connecticut on Saturday (May 10) at Benedum Field, at 1:00 p.m.
