Interesting Notes: Stout head coach Todd Stropp’s wife Chris gave birth to an eight pound girl (Keyah) on 9/8/05 ... Wisconsin Stout is located in Menonomie, WI... the school was founded in 1890 by lumber baron James Stout.
SC’s Last Game: Springfield lost its season opener at Union, 35-7, Saturday night... it was the Dutchmen’s first win over SC in the past five outings.

UWS had 470 yds in total offense last week...backup soph TB Andy Reese was 38-210 with 12 of Stout’s 18 FDs to his credit... #1 TB Ryan Engelbert (knee) should be ready this week... WR Jesse Wendt has caught four TD passes... LB Luke Steffen has 21 tackles.
SC’s Offense: Soph HB Derron Walker (White Plains, NY) had a breakout game in his first career start with 139 yards against Union... Senior FB Andre Clayton (Manchester, CT) was limited to 21 yards before sustaining a calf injury... he could possibly play this Saturday.
SC’s Defense: Junior LB Andrew Madigan (New Britain, CT) had an exceptionally strong game against Union with 13 tackles.
On Special Teams: Freshman Nick Ford (Laconia, NH) returned five kickofs for a 19.4 average against the Dutchmen.
Injury Report: FB Andre Clayton (Manchester, CT) has a calf injury, but will probably play against Stout... backup split end Matt Norris (Guilderland, NY) has a knee injury and is out.

Head Coach Mike DeLong
Michael C. “Mike” DeLong ’74 enters his 32nd season as a head football coach in the fall of 2013. He enters his 30th year at Springfield College alone. For the past 28 years, he has been the head coach at Springfield, his alma mater. Mike had also been the head coach at Maine Maritime in Castine, Maine in 1979 and 1980.
