



BOSTON, Mass. (October 6, 2007) – The Springfield College men's cross country team finished 32nd out of 43 teams over the weekend at the New England Championships held at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass.
Mike Griffin (Scarborough, Maine) was the first member of the squad to cross the finish line as he placed 46th of out 291 runners in a time of 26:07.
Brian Fuller finished in 27:34 finishing in the race in 19:53 while teammate John DeVancy (Albany, N.Y.) finished in a time of 28:17.
The Pride travel to the Empire State next week to take part in the UAlbany Invitational on October 13.
Bryan Brown will enter his third season as the head men's cross country coach in the fall of 2013. Brown, who was a former All-American at Springfield College in track, is the reigning NEWMAC Coach of the Year after leading Springfield to its second-straight second-place finish at the conference championships a year ago .
