Sam Pomroy: Women's Track & Field

Sam Pomroy has been selected as the Springfield College Female Maroon Club Athlete of the Week after leading the women's track & field team to a third place finish on Saturday at the Bowdoin Invitational.

The Lebanon, Maine native was one of three winners for the Pride, taking first place in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:42.39, almost three seconds ahead of her nearest competitor. The sophomore also ran on the third place 4x800-meter relay team. She anchored the squad that ran a combined time of 11:14.91.

The Pride will compete again on Saturday, hosting Stevens, Trinity, RPI, Ramapo, Westfield State, ECSU, Worcester State, Assumption, AIC, and CCNY.
