Softball Honored by NFCA For Academic Success

Softball Honored by NFCA For Academic Success Starkville, Miss. - October 12, 2011 - The Springfield College softball team was named an 2010-11 NFCA Division III All-Academic Team, while 10 softball student-athletes were selected as All-America Scholar Athletes.

The All-America Scholar Athlete award is given to any player submitted by a member coach who achieved a 3.50 grade point average or higher during the 2010-11 academic year. In addition, teams with the highest GPA's in each membership category were recognized as a 2011 NFCA All-Academic team.

Springfield's 10 All-America Scholar Athletes included Katie Anderson, Kelly Blake, Allison Clott, Tess Gagliano, Kasey Kelly, Liz Milly, Amanda Novak, Mackenzie O'Dea, Allison Rivelli, and Melanie Scuderi.

As a team, the Pride recorded a cumulative grade point average of 3.355.
