Falcone and Pelletier Named ECAC Division III Men's Volleyball All-Stars

Mike Pelletier and Greg Falcone Springfield, Mass. - May 30, 2013 - Seniors Greg Falcone and Mike Pelletier were recognized for their outstanding seasons by being named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Men’s Volleyball All-Star Team.

The duo left their mark on a remarkably successful time span for the Springfield College men's volleyball program as it has won three national championships in the past four seasons, including back-to-back NCAA Division III National Championships.

Earlier this season, Falcone earned his fourth-straight AVCA All-America recognition after another dominant season. The 6-8 middle blocker from Lindenhurst, N.Y. led the nation in hitting percentage (.537), was fifth in blocks per set (1.16) and in the top-25 in aces per set (0.43). Falcone ended his career as the program's all-time leader in both total blocks (571) and block assists (496).

Pelletier, who hails from Burnt Hills, N.Y., had a tremendous senior season to earn AVCA All-America accolades for the first time in his career. Pelletier led the Pride with 331 kills, averaging 3.18 per set, and ranked third on the team in aces (31), digs (145), and blocks (74). In addition, he finished his career with 1,077 kills, which is eighth-most in program history.
