



Complete ResultsStow, Mass. - October 3, 2010 - Led by Craig and Kyle DiFranco, the Springfield College golf team finished sixth out of 11 teams at the ECAC Division III Golf Championships. As a team, the Pride totaled 641 strokes.
Elms College was the overall winner totaling a final score of 618 strokes, while Endicott College (620) and Nichols College (621) placed second and third, respectively. Chris Hamel of Husson placed first for the weekend with a score of 147, just three strokes over par.
Craig DiFranco had a tremendous showing as she placed fourth overall in the tournament. He shot a 78 in the first round and followed that up with a 73 in the second round, for a final score of 151. He also recorded an eagle and was one of five players to do so in the whole tournament.
Kyle DiFranco tied in 13th overall after firing a 77 first round and an 80 second round for a two-day total of 157. DiFranco totaled five birdies over the weekend and went two-under on the par three's.
Rounding out Springfield’s competitors was junior Alexander Brown, who tied in 29th shooting a 165, and junior Jared Slingerland, who tied in 34th and shot a 168.
The Springfield College golf team heads to Leicester Mass. next weekend to compete in the NECC Championships.
