



Complete ResultsKingston, R.I. - December 5, 2009 - The Springfield College men's swimming team captured the 2009 Harold Anderson Invitational on Saturday afternoon behind a total team effort. The Pride totaled 743 points in the victory as they defeated Providence College (694.5), URI (661.5), Bryant (511), and Holy Cross (459).
Springfield opened up the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay as Josh Ernst, Ryan Mackstutis, Brian Way, and Matt Manoni finished in a time of 1:39.67.
Way and teammate Tim Ramos finished second and third in the 400 IM as they recorded times of 4:22.02 and 4:30.28, respectively. Andrew Blakesley just missed winning the 200 free as he touched in 1:45.22, missing out on first place by :00.07 seconds. Blakesley also took second in the 100 free in 47.86.
Mackstutis picked up two of Springfield's three individual wins of the day as he cruised to victory in the 100 breaststroke in 1:01.26 and the 200 breaststroke in 2:16.07. Tony Lamberston recorded the other victory as he finished first in the 1000 freestyle in 10:35.36.
The Pride will return to action on Saturday, January 9, 2010 when they square-off against both Hartwick and Union in a tri-meet in hosted by Hartwick in Oneonta, N.Y
