Steve Headley Complete Results

Boston, Mass. - February 28th, 2009 - The Springfield College men's track and field team finished 20th out of 33 teams on Saturday afternoon at the Open New England Championships hosted by Boston University.

The Pride recorded 10 points as a team in a competition that was comprised of Division I, II, and III schools in New England.

All of the Pride's points came from junior Steve Headley, who continued to improve on his fastest time in the country as he captured the 55 meter dash in impressive fashion. Headley now holds the fastest time in the country after he crushed the competition with a 6.28 en route to the victory. Headley had tied the fastest time in the country last week at the Division III New England Championships after he ran a 6.32. The next fastest competitor in the race on Saturday ran a 6.40.
