Men's Track & Field Competes at ECAC Division III Championship

Parker Ashton-Youngs Troy, N.Y. – May 16, 2014 - The Springfield College men's track & field team competed at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Championships, hosted by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) on Thursday and Friday, and was led by Parker Ashton-Youngs.

Ashton-Youngs had the top performance for the Pride, placing third overall in the javelin, with a distance of 58.24m.

Brandon Hammerstrom finished 16th overall and third in his flight in the men's shot put with a toss of 14.35m while Ryan O'Connell placed 18th in the 1500m with a time of 4:06.61.

The 4x100 relay team of Marcus Brown, Jacob Buhelt, Brian Stacy and Ken Toal finished 22nd overall with a combined time of 44.75.
