Kevin Coyle Springfield, Mass. - June 7, 2011 - After a tremendous showing at the ECAC Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships several weeks ago, junior Kevin Coyle was recently named the Most Outstanding Performer of the Meet.

Coyle was one of the major reasons why Springfield finished in sixth place among 58 teams competing for the 2011 ECAC Championships title, which took place May 19-20 in Bethleham, Pa.

The Bradford, N.H. native won the long jump with a leap of 7.15 meters before jumping 14.98 meters to win the triple jump. Coyle was also ran on the Pride's 4x400 relay team that finished fifth in 3:15.39.

This marks the second-straight year that a member of the Springfield College men's track and field team was honored as the Most Outstanding Performer at the ECAC Championships. In 2010, Steve Headley took home the honor after he won the 100, 200, and was on the winning 4x100 relay team.
