



Eau Claire, Wisc. - May 24, 2010 - Bryn Worrilow was honored for her outstanding senior season as she was selected as a 2010 Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III All-American. The outfielder was chosen to the third-team and earned All-America honors for the first time in her career.Worrilow was just one of nine outfielders in the entire country to be named an All-American this season. A native of North Babylon, N.Y., Worrilow was instrumental in leading the Pride to the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Tournament Championship round for the third consecutive season. Springfield won the NEWMAC Tournament and thus went to the NCAA Tournament in each of Worrilow's sophomore and junior seasons.
The post-season awards have poured in for Worrilow in the past few weeks. She was previously named to the 2010 Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III All-New England Region First Team as well as the New England Softball Coaches Association 2010 Division III All Star First Team. In addition, she was picked to the NEWMAC All-Conference First Team and was an ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District selection.
In her final year for the Pride, Worrilow had a career-season as Springfield's everyday rightfielder. The smooth-swinging lefty had a .469 batting average as she notched 61 hits and registered a team-best 32 RBI. She scored 23 runs this season and was a staple in the outfield, owning a fielding percentage of .968, committing just two errors all year.

Julie Perrelli enters her fourth season at the helm of the Springfield College softball program and as an assistant professor of physical education. In her first three seasons in the dugout for the Pride, Perelli has guided Springfield to two NEWMAC Championship title games. Read more.
