Centerville, Mass. - March 7, 2013 - Springfield College sophomore Nikki Caradonna received the ECAC Division III Women's Gymnastics Coaches Choice Award after a standout showing in the Pride's quad meet at West Chester last weekend.Caradonna had Springfield’s best performance on the beam placing seventh with a 9.325. Working hard all season, Caradonna has broken through in the last two weeks, consistently hitting her beam routine to move her into the Pride's highest ranked individual on beam.
The Lynnfield, Mass. native also had her best bar performance of the season, upgrading the routine by adding a second blind full before her dismount, en route to a 9.075.
Cheryl Raymond, who will be entering her 33rd year as women's gymnastics coach and assistant professor of physical education at Springfield College in 2012-2013, is one of the top college coaches in the region. Read more.
