Goucher Prevails Over Women's Tennis, 6-3

Ariana Shemms Complete Results

Humacao, Puerto Rico - March 21, 2013 - Ariana Shemms and Melanie Thulin combined for a win in doubles play and each won their singles match, however the Springfield College women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 match on Thursday.

Springfield is now 6-7 on the year with the loss and will look to even their record on Friday against Geneseo in their final match of Spring Break.

At No. 3 doubles, Thulin and Shemms won by a 8-3 score. In singles action, Thulin grinded out a solid win at No. 4, 4-6, 6-4, 10-2, while Shemms took the victory at No. 5 by the count of 6-3, 6-4.

Springfield's Sydney Streimer went three sets at No. 3 before falling 6-4, 3-6, 7-5.
