Springfield, Mass. - September 30, 2010 - The Springfield College women's tennis team's match against Trinity College that was scheduled for Thursday afternoon has been cancelled due to heavy rains in the area. The match will not be rescheduled.Springfield has had both of its matches this week effected by rain storms in New England as its match on Tuesday at Clark was also postponed. That contest will now be made up on October 18 at 5:00 pm in Worcester, Mass.
The Pride return to action on Saturday when it hits the road for a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) match at Wheaton.
Toby Coffin G’01, enters his second year as the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Springfield College. Coffin, who has coached at numerous high schools in the area, will look to build a program which will contend for a conference crown.
