



Complete ResultsWest Point, N.Y. -- March 4, 2012 -- The Springfield College men's gymnastics team competed this afternoon at the U.S Military Academy and finished third of three teams. Sophomore Ryan Ponce of the Pride placed first in the still rings with a score of 15.300.
Team scores were as follows: Temple 340.900, Army 334.900, and Springfield 323.900.
A native of Tolland, Conn., Ponce's score was a season-high in the still rings.
Meanwhile, SC junior Jimmy Pezzino (Buffalo, N.Y.) finished third in the vault with a score 14.300.
Senior Ty Evans (San Jose, Calif.) placed second in the all-around with a tally of 81.700.
Entering his 32nd season as head men's gymnastics coach, Dr. Steve Posner is recognized as one of the most outstanding gymnastics coaches in the East. Posner led the Pride to another successful season in 2013 as he led five gymnasts to the NCAA Championships. Read more.
