



Complete ResultsAnnapolis, Md. - January 26, 2009 - The Springfield College men's gymnastics team finished fourth this weekend at the Navy Open as it recorded 324.15 points. The host Navy Midshipmen won the meet with a team score of 332.5 points.
William & Mary finished in second place with 327.75 points, followed by No. 10 Temple's 326.35 points, No. 12 Springfield's 324.15 points, No. 14 Air Force's 324.1 points and MIT's 307.65 points.
Leading the way in the meet for the Pride was the duo of Josh Fox and Ty Evans, both of whom had several top performances. Fox placed fifth in the floor exercise with a 14.500 and finished fifth as well on the high bar with a 14.250. As for Evans, the freshman took fourth in the vault with a 15.000 and finished second on the high bar with a 14.300.
Other top finishers for Springfield including Andy Kelly's 13.250, which placed him eighth on the parallel bars, Matt Bolognese's 14.000 on the rings, which was good enough for third overall, and Michael Licari's 14.950 on the vault, the sixth-highest score in that event.
In the all-around competition, Evans finished third with a 80.250 and Fox placed sixth with a 79.450.
