



Complete ResultsSpringfield, Mass. - April 6, 2011 - The Springfield College men's tennis team was blanked by visiting Wheaton College, 9-0, in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action at Appleton Courts on Wednesday afternoon.
Springfield drops to 3-2, 0-1 in league play, while the Lyons improve to 5-4, 2-0.
For the Pride, Zach O'Leary was the lone member of the team to force three sets before losing 6-0, 2-6, 10-5 at No. 3 singles. John Schrank also battled for Springfield at No. 6 singles as he lost 7-6 (7-5), 6-4.
The Pride will hit the courts again on Saturday morning for another league match at Coast Guard. First serve is scheduled for 11:00 am.

Toby Coffin G’01, enters his second year as the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Springfield College. Coffin, who has coached at numerous high schools in the area, will look to build a program which will contend for a conference crown.
