



Minneapolis, Minn. - March 17, 2010 - Brian Sobel finished seventh on the three-meter board on Wednesday evening at the 2010 NCAA Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Championships as he earned All-American honors.The two-time New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Diver of the Year scored a total of 479.85 points as he placed seventh in the finals. Sobel improved slightly on his performance last year, when he took eighth on the three meter with a final score of 461.05.
Teammate Matt Fitzgerald finished 17th overall and failed to make the finals as he totaled 371.55 points.
Phil Devine from UW Osh Kosh won the national championship on the three-meter board with a score of 563.00.
Sobel and Fitzgerald are next in action on Friday evening when they compete in the one-meter diving competition.
