



Springfield, Mass. -- September 29, 2010 -- Jeff Legunn led his Wesleyan University men's tennis team to a 9-0 victory over Springfield College this afternoon at SC's Julius Appleton Courts. With the win, the Cardinals are now 3-0, while Springfield suffers its first loss and is now 1-1.Legunn, a sophomore from Waccabuc, N.Y., won his matches at No. 1 singles and at No. 1 doubles, where he combined with sophomore Ravy Uong (Lowell, Mass.), Legunn's victory at No. 1 singles came over Springfield sophomore Ben Burnap (Westerly, R.I.), 6-2, 6-3.
The Cardinals won all their singles matches in straight sets.
The Pride will next host local rival Western New England College on Wednesday, October 6.
