Boston, Mass. - February 23, 2013 - Several members of the Springfield College women's track and field had tremendous performances at the All New England Championships. Both Gabby Gaudreault and Amanda Martin earned All-New England honors.Gaudreault placed third in the 800 as she ran a personal best of 2:12.48. In the triple jump, Martin produced a leap of 38 feet 3/4 inch to take seventh.
In addition, the 4x400 relay team of Gaudreault, Laurie Jenkins, Jessica Miller, and Crystal Davis ran their fastest time of the year, clocking in at 3:53.44.
Jim Pennington enters his 29th season as head coach of the Springfield College women’s cross country and track and field teams in 2012-2013. Under Pennington’s direction, the Pride has recorded seven top 20 finishes at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and seven top 15 finishes at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
