



RIT Box ScoreRochester, N.Y. - October 3, 2008 - The Springfield College women’s volleyball team lost a pair of matches at the Nazareth Invitational on Friday evening.
For the first time in 2008, the Pride lost back-to-back matches and now stand at 14-4 on the year.
Despite winning the first two games in its opening match of the night against RIT, the Pride fell in five games, 14-25, 14-25, 25-20, 25-20, 15-7. Heather Lively led the way for Springfield in the loss with a team-best 18 kills.
In its second match of the evening, the Pride fell to the host Golden Flyers of Nazareth, 25-22, 14-25, 27-25, 25-23. Lively once again paced the Pride attack with 14 kills, while Sarah Lang-Rodean chipped in with 10 kills.
Springfield returns to action tomorrow when it wraps up play at the Nazareth Invitational with a pair of games. The Pride will play against Ithaca at 1:00 pm before taking on Brockport at 3:00 pm.

Moira Long will enter her third season as head women's volleyball coach in the fall of 2013. Long wasted little time putting her stamp on the program, taking the Pride to the NCAA Championship Elite Eight in 2011.
