



Complete ResultsSpringfield, Mass. -- October 19, 2010 -- The Springfield College men's golf team completed their fall season today by finishing tied for 18th at the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Championships at the Captains Course in Brewster, Mass. In Division III, SC placed in a tie for seventh.
Senior captain Craig DiFranco (East Longmeadow, Mass.) proved to be Springfield's best by tying for 16th among individuals. He shot a 75 on the day, and completed his two-round total with a score of 151, or seven-over par.
The four others who competed for the Pride were junior Tom Sangeloty (Unionville, Conn.) with a 79-84=163, junior Alex Brown (Portland, Me.) with a 85-80=165, freshman Mike Nowakowski (East Hampton, Conn.) with a 84-86=170, and sophomore Kyle DiFranco (East Longmeadow, Mass.) with a 95-81=176. Sangeloty tied for 54th, Brown tied for 111th, Nowakowski tied for 136th, and Kyle DiFranco tied for 160th.
URI was the team winner with a 297-288=585. UConn finished second one stroke behind. In Division III, Springfield tied for seventh with Johnson and Wales. SC finished with a 324-320=644, which was 68-over par.
Joe Eadie enters his 19th season as the head men's golf coach at Springfield College in the fall of 2012. Eadie is the head golf professional at the Fenway Golf Range in nearby East Longmeadow, and is in the process of becoming a PGA Professional. Read more.
