



Orlando, Fla. -- March 18, 2010 -- The Springfield College men's tennis team ended its Spring Break trip to Florida with a 6-3 victory over St. Scholastica of Duluth, Minnesota. With the win, the Pride is now 2-4 in 2009-2010, and ends the trip with a 1-3 mark.Springfield took a 2-1 lead after the doubles competition. In singles play, Springfield captured wins at No. 1, 3, 4, and 6. That included a win by senior Trevor Romanzi (Bay Shore, N.Y.) at No. 1.

Toby Coffin G’01, enters his second year as the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Springfield College. Coffin, who has coached at numerous high schools in the area, will look to build a program which will contend for a conference crown.
