Wellesley, Mass. - September 18, 2012 - For the second-straight week, Anthony Salvucci was named this week's New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.Salvucci continued his early season success over the weekend at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational. The senior placed second among the 293 runners in the race in a time of 24:43.18.
A native of Burlington, Mass., Salvucci missed out on his second-straight first-place finish by less than a second while leading the Pride to a second-place finish as a team.
Bryan Brown will enter his second season as the head men's cross country coach in the fall of 2012. Brown, who was a former All-American at Springfield College in track, led Springfield to a second-place finish at the NEWMAC Championships a year ago .
