Bickelhaupt Earns NEWMAC Women's Basketball Co-Player of the Week Honors

Jaimie Bickelhaupt Boston, Mass. - December 16, 2013 - Springfield College junior Jaimie Bickelhaupt (Brookfield, Conn.) was selected as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Basketball Co-Player of the Week.

Bickelhaupt led the Pride to its fourth-straight win on Friday as it bested Worcester State, 54-40 on the road. The junior tallied her fifth double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds while shooting 7-for-13 from the field.

Springfield has now strung together four-straight wins, including three in league play, to head into the break with a 5-3 record. The Pride will hit the courts again one last time this calendar year when it battles Maine Maritime in the Hampton Inn West Springfield Naismith Classic on December 31.
