



Williamstown, Mass. – November 15, 2008 – Senior Michael Griffin qualified for the NCAA Division III National Championships with his 10th place finish at the 2008 NCAA New England Regional Championships held at Mt. Greylock Regional High School.The Scarborough, Maine product finished in a time of 26:31, qualifying for Nationals for the second consecutive year.
Williams took first place with 36 points, followed by Amherst with 122, while Trinity rounded out the top three with 143 points. Williams junior Edgar Kosgey won the individual crown with a time of 25:52. The Pride finished in 14th place overall with 370 points.
Also finishing in the top 100 for the Pride were sophomore Brian Fuller (Ludlow, Mass.) in 42nd in 27:18 and freshman David Birdsall (Madison, Conn.) in 67th in a time of 27:46.
Bryan Brown will enter his second season as the head men's cross country coach in the fall of 2012. Brown, who was a former All-American at Springfield College in track, led Springfield to a second-place finish at the NEWMAC Championships a year ago .
