



Centerville, Mass. - January 29, 2013 - After helping the Springfield College women's gymnastics team defeat Ithaca on Sunday, both Brittany Baglow and Abby Clark were recognized with ECAC weekly honors.Baglow, a native of Amherst, Mass., was chosen as the ECAC Gymnast of the Week as she won both the all-around (36.400) and vault (9.500). It marked the first time that she competed in the all-around and vault for the first time since she ruptured her achilles tendon last season. In addition, the senior placed third on the floor, scoring the Pride's top score of the day with a 9.350. She also placed fourth on beam with a 9.025.
A product of Holderness, N.H., Clark took first place on beam (9.200), third on vault (9.250), and fourth on floor (9.350), scoring her season-high on all three events. She also preformed an exhibition on bars, scoring a scoring a personal best 9.1 for the season.
Springfield will compete again on Saturday when it travels to Ithaca for a tri-meet with the Bombers and Cortland.
