



Complete ResultsSpringfield, Mass. - November 10, 2012 - In a clash of two of the top teams in the region, the Springfield College women's swimming and diving team fell to MIT, 180.50-119.50, in the Art Linkletter Natatorium.
The team of Kelsey Poole, Nicolle Stracqualursi, Callie Phillips, and Amanda Shaw opened the meet touching second in the 400 medley relay in 4:09.92.
Kellie Pennington was victorious in a pair of events, claiming the 50 free in 24.20 and the 100 free in 54.18.
Ashleigh Monroe had Springfield's other individual win in the pool as she claimed a win in the 1,650 free after posting a time of 18:16.64.
In the 100 breast, Stracqualursi posted a time of 1:10.16 to place second, while Phillips earned second-place points in the 500 free after swimming a 5:18.67. Poole also finished second in the 100 fly with a 1:00.51.
Jennifer Thompson swept the diving events with a pair of national qualifying standards. She won the one-meter board with a score of 269.39 before totaling a 281.77 to win the three-meter board.
