Men's Swimming and Diving Falls to MIT
Springfield, Mass. - November 10, 2012 - The Springfield College men's swimming and diving team fell to visiting MIT on Saturday afternoon by the score of 220-78 in the Art Linkletter Natatorium.
The Pride had several tremendous showings in the diving events, led by reigning NEWMAC Diver of the Week, Jack Lewis. Lewis won the three-meter with a 277.27, and placed second on the one-meter with a national-qualifying score of 285.37. Teammate Kenny Pancoast also won the one-meter after registering a national-qualifying score of 299.5.
In the pool, Springfield had several strong showings. Kelly Dullard swam to a third-place finish in the 200 free in 1:51.49. Nolan Manley finished third in the 50 free with a time of 22.57.
In addition, Michael Normoyle touched third in the 200 breast in 2:18.17.

Diving Coach Peter Avdoulos
Peter Avdoulos is regarded as one of the top diving coaches in the nation, and will enter his 28th season as the diving coach for both the men's and women's programs in 2012-2013.
