



Orlando, Fla. -- March 15, 2010 -- Eric Henne was victorious as an individual, but he was the only shining light for the Spingfield College men's tennis team this evening in an 8-1 loss to Stevens Tech in SC's Spring 2010 opener in Orlando, Florida. With the loss, Springfield is now 1-2 overall, including two matches from the fall. Stevens ups its record to 3-1.
Henne, a junior from Bristol, Conn., needed three sets to defeat Carlo Pardo at No. 5 singles, 6-4, 2-6, 11-9. All other singles matches were decided in straight sets.
Up next in continuing its Spring Break in Orlando, the Pride will face Berry College of Mount Berry, Georgia Wednesday (Mar. 17) at 12:30 pm
