



Complete ResultsOrlando, Fla. - March 13, 2012 - The Springfield College women's tennis team swept the doubles competition and never looked back as it rolled past Wisconsin Lutheran, 8-1, on Tuesday afternoon. The Pride added five wins in singles play as it improved to 2-1 during its Spring Break trip.
With the victory, Springfield is now 5-9 on the season.
In double play, Sam Carney and Vanessa Senecal won 8-5 at No. 1, while Jen Cleary and Siana Green grinded out a 9-7 win at No. 2. The tandem of Sydney Streimer and Amy Buttarazzi completed the sweep with a 8-4 victory at No. 3.
Senecal, Green, Streimer, Buttarazzi, and Ashley Duhaime all earned wins at No. 2 through No. 6 singles to seal the victory.

Toby Coffin G’01, enters his third year as the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Springfield College. Coffin, who has coached at numerous high schools in the area, will look to build a program which will contend for a conference crown.
