Lincoln, Nebraska - March 14, 2014 - Gabriella Gaudreault (Leominster, Mass.) earned All-America honors on Saturday, finishing seventh overall in the 800-meter run at the 2014 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Gaudreault ran a time of 2:13.96 in the 800m finals to earn a seventh place finish. It is the second All-America accolade for the senior, as she finished fourth in the event at last spring's NCAA Championship.
The senior was in fourth place after the second lap, keeping pace in the middle of the pack of runners. She eventually fell back to sixth, then seventh where she finished.
Gaudreault entered as the top seed in the 800m and in the preliminaries on Friday, she ran a time of 2:12.34, finishing third in her heat and placing sixth overall.
The senior has had an unbelievable indoor season, breaking school records in both the 800m and 1000m. Her qualifying time of 2:09.57 in the 800m was the fastest time in Division III this season and the 7th fastest time in D-III history until Saturday's winner, Kylee Verhasselt of Wisconsin-Oshkosh ran a time of 2:08.67. This is Gaudreault's third appearance on the national stage, as she raced in last year's indoor and outdoor championships.
