The six student-athletes ties a program record for the most representation for the Pride on the national scene, as Springfield also sent six to compete at the 1998 NCAA Indoor Championships.
Springfield's 4x100 relay team of Laurie Jenkins, Elizabeth Saia, Darian Dailey, and Crystal Davis are seeded ninth after posting a qualifying time of 47.62. In addition, Jessica Miller will make the trip as an alternate for the squad.
Individually, Gabriella Gaudreault will enter the competition as the highest-seeded competitor for the Pride, as she is ranked 12th in the 800 meters with a qualifying time of 2:11.19. Jenkins will race the 100 meters after registering a time of 12.13 to make the field.
Amanda Martin continued her standout sophomore season and will be entered in both jumping events. In the long jump, she owns a qualifying mark of 5.6 meters, while in the triple jump, she qualified with a distance of 11.59 meters.
Earlier this winter, both Martin and Gaudreault competed at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships. In 2010, both Jenkins and Davis were a part of a Springfield 4x100 team that ran a 46.93 to finish in fifth en route to All-America honors. For Saia and Daily, this will be their first time to the national event.
