Wellesley, Mass. -- March 1, 2012 --George Adams from the Springfield College men's basketball team has been named to the 2011-12 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference All-Academic team.There were 13 named overall to the NEWMAC All-Academic Team in men's basketball from seven schools.
Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, achieved second year academic status at his institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.
Adams, a 6-6 junior forward, is an applied exercise science major from Queens, N.Y.
Charlie Brock in 2012-13 will enter his 15th season as the head coach at Springfield College and his 33rd season as a head coach overall. Brock’s achievements as a coach are certainly impressive. He has taken three schools to the NCAA Division III Tournament and has an overall, 32-year record of 440-397. Read more.
