



Complete ResultsKingston, R.I. - December 4, 2009 - The Springfield College women's swimming team competed in day one of the Harold Anderson Invitational on Friday night hosted by the University of Rhode Island. The Pride are currently in fifth place with 179 points. Leading the way on day one was the University of Rhode Island with 312 points.
The first event of the night saw the quartet of Megan Cooney, Jennifer Carigan, Kaitlin Reilly, and Aimee Doe race to a sixth place finish in the 400 medley relay in 4:14.86. The foursome of Reilly, Doe, Jaclyn VanWaalwiik, and Caroline Kosciuski later finished fifth in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:43.63.
Individually, Sophomore Megan Sisson had a strong performance finishing fourth in the 500 free with a time of 5:22.50, while Junior Meredith Trumbull fared well in the 200 IM finishing in fourth place in 2:19.11.
The meet will resume tomorrow Saturday morning at 10:00 AM, be sure to check back for complete results later in the day.
