Complete ResultsKnoxville, Tenn. - March 25, 2011 - Both Courtney Keefe and Jennifer Thompson earned All-America honors on the one-meter board at the NCAA Division III Women's Swimming and Diving Championships on Friday evening. Keefe placed fifth for her first All-America accolade, while Thompson finished sixth for her second All-America honor this week.
Keefe qualified for the finals seventh with 386.45 points in the prelims, while Thompson was was the eighth and final qualifier with 385.05 points. The duo didn't disappoint in the evening finals session as Keefe tallied 416.95 points to finish in fifth place. Thompson placed right behind her teammate in sixth place with 413.80 points as both earned the All-America recognition.
Both divers were the highest finishers from the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC).
Thompson was the lone freshman in the championship session and completed her fantastic showing on the national scale. On Wednesday, she placed fourth in the three-meter competition.
Teammate Paige Rhodes totaled 341.75 in the prelims as she finished 21st in the competition.
Springfield 800 free relay also swam and finished 19th. The team of Aimee Doe, Kaitlin Reilly, Caroline Kosciusko, and Kellie Pennington touched in 7:46.22. The squad had previously qualified for the NCAA's with a time of 7:39.88 and was seeded 16th.
