



Springfield, Mass. - August 23, 2011 - The Springfield College women's lacrosse team was recognized as a 2011 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Squad for their success in the classroom last year.To qualify for recognition, teams had to have achieved a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or above for the 2010-2011 academic year.
The Pride was one of 70 teams from across the nation to earn the honor. Springfield was also one of four teams from the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) to be recognized as Mount Holyoke College, Wellesley College and Wheaton College were honored.
The 2011 campaign was a memorable one for Springfield as it owned an 11-6 record before bowing out in the NEWMAC Tournament Championship game. The Pride captured the conference regular season crown for the first time since 2006 after rattling off a 6-0 record against league foes.


Kristen Mullady ‘00, enters her fiffth season as the head women’s lacrosse coach at Springfield College. A former standout for Springfield’s women’s lacrosse team, Mullady led Springfield to back to back NEWMAC titles in 2012 and 2013. Read more.
